The Racing Bot

01 · Why

Racing tips usually come with no reasons and no record. I wanted a score you could open up, see where every point came from, and check against a record kept in public.

02 · What I built

A data pipeline that scores every runner each day, a website with a page for every horse, trainer, jockey and course, and an iPhone app with widgets and a Live Activity that follows a race on your Lock Screen.

03 · What happened

Google impressions went from 98 to 8,847 a month in three months, almost all from those horse and trainer pages. The app is getting ready for the App Store.
